My friend found this gigantic ant in his living room. Freaking huge! He named it Godzilla lol. This is actually a forest ant which is one of the biggest ants in the world.

This is the Michelin Man pendrive. My friend’s dad’s. Very nice. I prefer the KAWS version though.

Change of Name

I don't know from which post but I think I introduced myself as Franch Chai.

I found the post, I could not even force myself to finish reading the second paragraph. I felt like something inside me is about to burst out. Either I'm about to burst out laughing at old self or burst out in rage against my own past silliness or...probably an Alien Chestburster is going to burst out from my chest (which is highly unlikely lol).

I hereby announced that I am no longer known as Franch. Okay okay, when I think back about it, it's kinda lame. It was effin' retarded. Why in the first place? Well there's a long story behind it. I swear if I have a mesin cahaya masa (Doraemon's Time Machine) in the drawer right now, I'm going to travel back to the time and somehow stop myself...and then do some other things LOL.

Fortunately, it's not official as in getting it registered officially under my national identity. So it's not too late haha. Dang! Besides I never ever introduced myself as Franch in my social life. I guess it would have been a huge turn off or a good material for laughter.

I was baptized around May 2011. A proud moment of my life. I am happy. I can finally tell people that I'm a real Christian. I don't have to fake my religion anymore when I fill up forms like during job applications. It's funny when I think about it hahaha.

I finally got an English name as well. Hi, I'm Chai, Jorge Chai. I am much more memorable now than just Chai K. S. Believe it or not, I found this name while checking out a baby names book in my friend's baby store. Initially I thought the name George sounds pretty good with my surname but seems quite generic and then I saw this name Jorge in the book. I think it looks cool. The spelling is shorter and I prefer the letter 'J' over 'G'.

Jorge is a Portuguese and Spanish given name. The pronunciation is pretty much the same with George if you don't pronounce it in Spanish which is 'Hor-Hei' I think. About the meaning of the name, Jorge, well I have this funny story.

One day, my friends were asking me why I chose the name Jorge. The conversation went something like this:

Friends: Why did you chose that name and not George?

Jorge: Hmm, I think it's more cool looking and sounding. Besides that it has a pretty special meaning to it. I think the meaning has something to do with God, something that is majestic or high and mighty. *nostrils holes enlarging, inhaling more air at this point = proud expression* Too bad I could not really remember. I found it in a book.

Friends: Oh really? Let me check.

Friends: Erm, dude...I think you got it wrong. It says here, 'Jorge (, ) is a Portuguese and Spanish given name, equivalent to English George. It is derived from the Greek (georgos), meaning "farmer" or "earth-worker".'

Jorge: What the?! Shhiiee.... Ok ok, I think I got it wrong already LOL. I don't care, Jorge is a cool farmer! Farmers are cool!

Hey hey ho ho! Yeah just want to indicate that it has been don't-know-how-long-has-it-been-since-the-last-time-I-updated-this-blog. What do I find different now? There are a lot of spammers in my chatbox...

Why didn't I blog since last year? Well, I'm lazy, I'm busy, there's no inspiration and I have a lot more important things to focus on...like what? uh...like figuring out some ways to escape from the rat race so that I can have more time and energy to ENJOY life. Not to WASTE my life.

So what has been going in my life? Ah, I'll just let pictures do most of the talking. My last post was since September, so I guess I'll start from around there.

September 2010

One of my best friends came back for a brief holiday. I think he's pretty cool. Main reasons (LOL) because he studies in Japan, he's going to work there, he's going to change his name legally to Japanese, he's acting more like a Japanese than a Chinese, he's been through the Red Light District (passes through only according to him ehemm), he's using a Japanese hand-phone and he wanna get a Japanese GF (failed a few times...but he is still trying though hahaha).

January 2011

First time I went to Miri's first Korean restaurant and it has been around for 10 years plus! Bibimbap is one of my favorite Korean foods. Unfortunately, this was way less than what I expected from this restaurant. Disappointing! Pocket burned!

March 2011

Another one of my best friends came back around this time. We embarked on a nostalgic walk/jog around our old school areas. I haven't been to that area for a long long time. It was sweet. We went to the old food and drink shack, we went to the church next to our primary school, we walked along our secret alley (back then this alley was full of dog poos) and etc. We had a lot of laughs. This is the day I will remember for a long time as well (11/3/11) because I met a new very special friend :)

April 2011

My step sis invited me to her dad's birthday party at one of his brothers' house. Foods really nice and then the sweet moment where the birthday uncle and grandma blew and cut the cake together. Lastly, I hung around with the elders. It was pretty awesome. For some reason after some drinking they all became more friendly and funny...acting silly and talking crap lol.

Okay this is the only thing that has to do with the blog title hahaha. I have a planned trip to Bali since last year. I was suppose to be at Bali now at this very moment but...due to some work commitment I am not able to go. Around this time my lil' brother came back from KL, one night we went out together for a drink. We talked about life, career, I gave some advices and discussing about the future. He is moving on to a new environment in Singapore. I wish him the best!

Hey wazzup~!!! Friends and blog-walkers, it feels good to be back after a very very long hiatus. I've been so inactive that I was having a lil' bit difficulty signing in to my blog lol.

I was busy with my social and working life and primarily I kinda lost interest in blogging along the way. There are too much to handle online and as you know it, blogging takes up time.

Anyway, one of the things that I spent a lot of time, energy and money (*sniff* *sniff*) to make something meaningful out of my life is starting a business. And that business is designer toys. Not familiar of it? Then go wiki it or something teehee.

I actually planned to keep this secret from most people but *argh* one way or another this is going to come out.

In my opinion, this is not an easy thing to venture into considering the market that we are at (Malaysia, but we can see the potentials). Damn luckily, we have the internet which provides us the way to reach out to the rest of the world. It takes interests, determination, willingness to learn, risk taking and most importantly, I always reminded myself to never give-up. I don't care what turns out in the end, worse comes to worst at least I know tried and that experience alone is priceless. If I succeed, then chances are I'll be in Mary Land or someplace nice.

Before the start, I was doing a lot of thinking, researching and procrastinating. One of the things I knew I lack of is a serious partner of the same interest, same thoughts, understanding and most importantly for me is patience. Thank God one day I found this one person and better still he turned out to be my cousin, Jin. I felt that this is a miracle. I would like to think that God answered my prayer. It is even more amazing that Jin was the very first one who influenced me into getting interested in art and design from a very young age. He is one of the bros I look up to all my life. Everything happens for a reason? There were many signs already I guess.

So then both of us started from scrap. Time and time again we met many challenges and obstacles. We failed and we succeed. Long time since then has gone by but it felt like a blink. We only traveled a short distance but the destination ahead looks promising. So we will keep fighting and going and going...

Fried Noodle with Cockroaches

One early morning, I bought a pack of fried noodle for breakfast. When I opened the newspaper packaging for the fried noodle, to my horror and funny bone I discovered something very offensive to the hygiene of the food. Guess what? SIX freakin' cockroaches just outside the other layer of the plastic packaging of my noodle!!!

Goodness sake! I almost lost my appetite from that shocking discovery. This is how packaging using newspaper can go wrong because of the contents. It could deliver contradicting messages to people who are observant enough, like me.

Lucky or Unlucky?

Last month there was an event for promoting the skincare and weight lost products which the brand name is called Nano Philosophy. The celebrity who endorsed the brand is non other than Jack Lim who is a popular MyFM deejay. Initially I do not know who is this celebrity but friends around me who have more awareness of the Malaysian and Singaporean entertainment scenes than me were pretty excited about him coming to town. In case you do not know who is this dude, you might recall him acting in Ah Long Pte Ltd and Love Matters.

In the Love Matters, he acted as a playboy while in Ah Long Pte Ltd, he acted as an ah beng, one popular scene is the foot 'durian' match in the movie. If you still don't know, then I recommend that you go watch these movies as they are very entertaining.

When he was on stage, I could feel some kind of presence from him, like 'wow, he's a celebrity' kind of thing because we don't often get celebrities coming down. He's a smooth talker and humorous as expected of a good radio deejay. Besides that, another thing that came into my mind was this...I thought, 'Wow, he's quite plump in person!'. LOL I must say I felt humbled by his presence as I am plump myself (sad face).

Anyway, as I was taking pictures of the event, Jack came to me, grabbed my arm and dragged me unto the stage for a game together with 4 other volunteers. It was a really simple game but in the end I got tied up with one of the volunteers. Both of us had the same answer so we were asked one question as a tiebreaker. The one who gives the closest answer would be the final winner. So we were shown one of the products of Nano Philosophy. It was a 50ml serum skincare. The goal was to guess the price of that product.

Damn it, I was not familiar with female's skincare products and I was up against a girl. So I thought the price must be around the same with a standard perfume so I guessed RM250. But Jack teased that I must have never been to any kind of fashion events in my life (wtf like I'm some kind of stay-home otaku) and usually stuff like that would costs over a thousand ringgit (WTF, surprised face). So next the other finalist answered RM450. I knew I lost. The actual price is RM408 (for that 50ml serum) fulamak.

Luckily each of the contestants got a gift. The winner got the RM408 product and I was given the second prize gift worth RM308 woohoo! But it's girls' stuff and in the end I gave it to mom.

Two days later, the company I worked with organized an annual dinner and I won something again from the lucky draws haha! But it was girls' stuff again.....

I won this! (>_<) No wonder the MC of the night showed me this weird expression on her face and asking me whether I have a girlfriend.

I thought I won something good by seeing the disappointment on the faces of the MC and other organizers of the event (muahahaha). But when I got home and teared off the wrapping, to my horror I discovered....'WTF IS THIS THING!?!?'. I can't use that and my mom is too old for it liao. wtfwtfwtfwtfwtf It's useless and I should have won something better. Why the hell do I need a breast lift-up bra? Maybe I should give to the ah guas and increase the sizes of their man boobs. If not that bra would definitely help them to be 'straight'. Get what I mean? Check out the bold words of 'Be Straight Once to Wear' on the box. If not then probably it means that you have to be 'straight once in order to wear the bra' therefore not applicable for bi, lesbians or gays (no discrimination intended, just following instructions of the product).

In the process to change myself to become a new someone, firstly I need to....

Go to the gym regularly for weight training. This is Uncle Chee's house which I always go to. This place is not for the weak. There are many hardcore players here.

Finish reading all these books, remember the important points and practice them. Crap, I bought so many of them from last year but no time to study and read it.

If I were to speed up my diet plan process, I may have to implement the 'celebrity diet plan'. I can refer this to the extreme dieting methods from Christian Bale and Jared Leto. All you need is a hyper strong will power.

Before this, my colleague who was my roommate also had been telling me that he saw a firefly in the room during the night for the last two days. I really wanted to see it since the last time I saw it was a long long time ago when I was still a small kid. Tonight I stayed up later and then I finally saw it. It's beautiful. It shines even more bright when it starts flying around in the dark.

Something really funny happened during the night. When I was about to doze off, suddenly I heard a horrible scream. Reminds me of the 'Witch' in the Left 4 Dead game. Initially I was scared and shocked by it. I woke up look around and asked my colleague whether he heard that scream.

Me: Holy shit! Did you hear that?!

Colleague: What? What's going on?

Me: I thought I heard somebody screamed just now. I think it was a girl's scream.

Colleague: Oh~ It's just me man. It was me. It was my scream.

Me: What?? What happened? That was some scary shit.

Colleague: Oh really? That firefly almost flew into my mouth!

Me: Huh? ...BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Seriously dude you screamed like a girl.

Because of that I had a hard time going to sleep because I just couldn't stop laughing when I thought about the scream.

They served us fresh wild boar soup on our last day. When I was about to eat it, I discovered something urgh disgusting. I found that the wild boar's hairs still left intact among the fat layers of skin. Holy crap! They were supposed to burn/torch the skin before cooking it but at this kind of place, what could I expect. Out of courtesy, I ate it but leaved the fatty skins aside. Bluek~ It was quite good without the skin and the hair though.

Happy to go home.

Today is just like any other day. Sometimes I lost my sense of time here as everyday is just the same work, work and work. It's Christmas but me and my colleagues were still working at office. Nobody else was at the office besides us. We were determined to do as fast as possible so that we can go back home asap.

What I did was just messaged my friends and wish them a Merry Christmas and playing with my DS at night time. It's just another day...

Oh yeah, during the night while I was watching TV, a lizard fell down from the roof and landed on my head. WTF indeed.

Work today was quite relaxing a bit. Not as tension as the day before.

The friendly housekeeper gave me these candies. They were from Indonesia. The housekeeper is a really nice lady who always makes me coffee whenever I go to the office for work.

On the other side of the candies there are some random/motivational words. Cool.

At night when we were about to sleep, we heard some noises coming from where we put our stuff including luggages on the floor. My colleague rose from the bed and went to check out one of his bags. It turned out that he left one of his bag unzipped. Most of the tidbits in the bag were destroyed by rats and cockroaches.

Most have to be thrown. There were still a lil' bit of leftovers which the packaging still looked okay but just imagine that those rats and cockroaches had been crawling around the stuff in his bag. Yuck~ no way it's edible. But he said, 'Maybe we can still give these to someone'. Yeah he did gave it away but I had no idea who got it lol.

He was devastated. Disappointed. Shocked. Pissed off. And sad.

I had one of the weirdest dreams in a long time during my sleep. All I could remember was that I dreamed about a headless short-tailed croc and a cat. It's about them taking care and protecting each other from harm. A story about one horribly disabled vicious animal and another cute and gentle kind of animal. Damn it was touching sniff sniff.

Well not much happening today except for a lot of sight seeings during the day. At night, well while I laying on the bed getting ready to sleep with the no electricity after 10pm, I felt something moving around my head at the neck area. It's so familiar that I knew it was that same damn cockroach which has been harassing us for 3 nights! Surprised, I rose up, took my flashlight and aim at it. There it was glaring at me. My colleague handed me a slipper and I tried to whack it but failed. That bugger was fast dammit. After awhile I stopped looking for it and went back to sleep. I hoped that it won't come back anymore bugging but when I was about to go la-la land, I felt it again! This time around my calves! The same thing happened again. I flashed at it and then it's gone. Very fast that bugger. I shall kill it next time. For now, I applied some more insect repellent around by hands and legs.

I miss basketball.

Sometimes I just can't stand the foods and drinks here but there's not much I can do because there's nothing else to eat or drink.

We ate this fried noodle (Mi Sedap) everyday since day one until the last day for breakfast. Can you stand it?? See that piece of plastic next to my drink. I found that IN my drink (other than the floating ants on top of it).

There are times when I looked at this helipad I hoped that a helicopter would come and bring me away.

I enjoyed this night as I was watching Benchwarmers. That movie rocks. Damn cock funny lol.

The stresses were piling higher and higher from the job especially for the new industrial training colleague. I understood his pain because I was like him in the beginning too. Sometimes I just can't bear to watch him when dealing with some of the difficulties as it would only reminds me of what I had been through. Terrible, but it's going to be a rewarding experience for him once he is through with it just like what it was for me.

He said something funny and it went like this, 'I would rather walk back home than doing this job!'. In case you don't know, between Miri and Paong, it's 200+km! ROFL. Imagine how long it would take. But yeah, sometimes I did get that kind of feeling also.

In order to release some tension, I went out to explore the surroundings for a bit.

This day was an interesting day. I got the opportunity to visit the blocks where the trees plantation were being carried out. The paths in the blocks were real rough. There were some places which were slippery and some very steep. My neck and back became sore again during the journey.

Damn cute. But you know when they get big, they would be like monsters. They become like vicious carnivores. Anyway, I think when they grow bigger, they gonna become foods.

Ah~ Finally after a day's work. I went back to the guesthouse excited to meet my bed until I found this cicak shit on it. The shit size was bigger than the ones I normally see at my own home. The cicak is also like giant over there. Damn it!

This is my roommate Damien. He's new to the job and has yet to feel any suffering from the job. Still high spirited haha but he will soon. Feel kinda sorry for him but everyone has to experience it keke.

I felt kinda miserable waking up. I'm still not used to life here. Electricity off at 10pm when I usually would sleep at 1am-2am normally at home but at least I got enough rest here and the air is clean. But the worst part is the mosquito. The mosquitos here is a killer! It leaves u marks like bruises which take a long time to heal and it's damn itchy.

Tonight was another difficult night to sleep. I couldn't sleep before 10pm as I was not used to it. It didn't help either when we open one of the windows to let some air in. One bee actually flew into the room through the window. That night I slept in fear ~~and hope it stings my roommate instead of me~~. I could hear the buzzing sound of the bee but could not see anything in the dark. Bzzz...bzzz...bzzz...

The last day before going off for my work travel assignment. Me and my friends went to our favorite food stall no. 7 at Taman Selera to eat seafoods and drank 'liu wei'. My favorite choices are the Tom Yam Fish and the popular fried chicken wings. I don't know how the cooks did it but it's damn good. Later on we went to the local cinema to catch Stormriders II. That movie kinda bored me start from the beginning and I was already tired that time. After 15 minutes, I spent one hour plus sleeping in the middle throughout the movie then woke up to watch the last 5 minutes before the end credits. It was that BAD. Disappointing cin cin! Anyway, went back home packed my stuff and watched one more episode of Densha Otoko before going to sleep at 2 something AM.

Today's the day. I waited at the office for the driver to come and pick us. In the meantime, I was wondering what kind of car the driver would use to bring us there. I heard the road condition is pretty bad so I'm hoping they would come with a Ninja rather than a Hilux cos I'm hoping for a comfortable ride. When it was time, we went to the parking lot AND it's a Hilux. Another bad thing was that we had to put our baggage on rear cargo area exposed.

We took off at about 8:45am. It's going to be a long 5 hours ride until the destination so I thought I should take a nap. But it's no easy, it was so hard as the road was really really rocky and bumpy. It was so bad that one of the springs absorbing the impact and supporting the wheels actually broke.

About 2 hours later we stopped by a small town named Lapok for toilet break. Actually it was more like a concrete cowboy town. No horses and gun shooting but the place is dusty and the only transports you can see here are pick-up trucks. Lots of it, Hilux, Triton, D-Max etc. I was not familiar with this place, and I spent like 30 minutes looking for a toilet. At one point, I decided to take a piss at some run-down abondoned building but in one of the rooms, I found some used syringes on the floor. Obviously to me, that seemed like a 'sacred' spot for drug addicts to do their business and I'm not gonna piss on it hell no lol.

2 something pm, finally we reached the camp (sigh~). At this point I was very exhausted, my neck and back were hurting from the bumpy ride and I felt dizzy. The driver dropped us to our guesthouse to settle down. We met with the housekeeper and she showed us to our rooms. Not too shabby. Pretty nice, they got air-cons, large size bed, Astro and all that. I spent some time checking out the place before going to the office for work.

That's the Camp Manager's house and he went on leave immediately when he knew that we're coming. He's scared I know.

After lunch, we had to go to the office to start work immediately. In my mind, I was gonna work like mad man to complete my job and go back home as soon as possible. I was motivated until we found out that the driver had went off without informing us. So no transport and there's no communication line around here. No Digi, no Maxis, and the Celcom, there's only a tiny few spots around the camp where you can only get like maybe one bar and at most two bars only. Yeah, so it was like this camp is in its own world. Damn terrible, I couldn't even contact my friends and family. No choice, we still had to work so in the end we decided to walk to the office despite the advices from security and housekeeper not to as it is very far from the guesthouse. They were right, it was a long walk to the office. The worst was walking under the scorching sun for about freaking 30 minutes. Once reaching the office, I was physically and mentally drained. At least, I got some cool wind from the fan finally. A few minutes later, the electricity went off. The generator which produces the power had been shut off (It had to be shut off from time to time to cool the heat down). Again, another obstacle but still had to work no matter what gosh.

After 5pm, we went back to the guesthouse, this time with car transport. Finally I got to get some rest and some time to check out more of the area.

Holy crap! I was surprised to found this little critter. I ain't never seen anything like this before. You can only get this in the wild. It's huge I tell ya. In fact, all the insects there are HUGE. One or two times bigger than the ones in the city. Not only big, there are faster, stronger and more cunning.

Then suddenly I heard dog barks. SIX dogs came along. I could feel their threats from their angry faces and barks, showing teeth and all that. I knew that they are going to eat it or something. There nothing one man can do against six hungry dogs. Oh yeah, the dogs here love to eat bugs, especially big ones.

Yay, another year ends and one new year to starts. I'm glad 2009 is over as it was full of shit memories. So much so I don't really remember what were the good parts... hmm, when I think about it, there were some good stuff...

Anyway, woke up the first day of 2010 feeling like crap from insufficient sleep lol. First task in the morning? Becoming a driver to my brothers early in the morning but it's alright, this is just the first day. I promise myself things will start to get better as time goes by.

I have simple one new year's resolutions. CHANGE! I'm gonna 'work it, make it, do it, makes me longer, better, faster, STRONGER!'

I'm dead serious. If I fail, I shall just... (>_<) Okay, that is the last time I'm gonna use 'if' and 'fail' on myself. If I want to succeed, I must think that I can do it. I CAN DO IT!

In another sign that the world is about to collapse, multiple blogs are reporting that a fan of the Nintendo DS dating sim Love Plus (you know, the really creepy one) liked his virtual lady so much that he decided to marry her. For real.

Apparently, a Japanese gamer known as 'Sal9000' was officially wed to Nene Anegasaki, one of the game's three virtual girlfriends, in what must have been the weirdest ceremony in the history of ceremonies. We can only assume that Ms. Pac-Man was the maid of honor.

While the two aren't planning a honeymoon -- after all, one of them is a VIDEO GAME -- they did hold a small 'reception' in Japan for friends, family and the media, indicating that this is most likely little more than the looniest video game publicity stunt we've seen in some time. Yo anyway, I read this article about a virtual dating game from Japan by Konami and I thought that this might be one of the most addictive games ever created provided that you are fluent in Japanese if not I bet that you would try hard to death to master Japanese just to play this game! Believe in me. No kidding.

Introducing Love Plus.

Currently only out in Japan, Love Plus is a dating simulation that lets you court several different virtual girls. If you play your cards right, one of them will start to fall for you.

As you grow closer, you'll need to take your new fake girlfriend out on dates -- in real time, no less -- and start planning your future together. Eventually she might ask for a kiss, which requires touching her on the lips. Or perhaps she'll ask you to whisper sweet nothings in her ear, which requires babbling pleasantries into the DS microphone (and a serious lack of shame).

Amazing isn't it? But there are some problems. Love Plus has caused quite a stir in Japan, as some wives have complained that their husbands are effectively 'cheating' on them by spending too much time with their virtual significant others.

Meet Koh and Yurie. They're a happily married young Japanese couple who moved from Tokyo to San Francisco a year ago due to a job transfer. In early September, while on a business trip back home, Koh bought a new game cartridge for his Nintendo DS. It was mostly out of curiosity — the Japanese Twitterati were all abuzz over a new dating sim called Love Plus, and he just wanted to see what the hype was about. "I've tried the other dating sims before just for kicks, but I never got hooked," he says. "I didn't expect this to be any different." He was wrong.

During that one week in Tokyo, Koh found himself fully committed to his virtual relationship with Rinko, a pouty, hard-ass high school girl who hung out at the library. The relationship was formal at first, consisting of awkward whispered conversations in which she sent mixed signals and called him by his last name. As things got more heated, though, she started calling him Kohichi (calling someone by the first name still carries a degree of intimacy in Japan) and became more demanding of his attention. "I felt like I might get sucked into this world," Koh, who is an engineer at a major game manufacturer by day, tells me. "It's not like any dating sim with young girls in it becomes a hit, but this one is really well-made."

An article posted on a Japanese tech site in September told the story of several women who had complained on an online bulletin about how their family lives were disrupted by husbands addicted to Konami's hit game. Last weekend, I invited Koh and Yurie over to my house to talk about Koh's virtual relationship with Rinko, and how — if at all — it had impacted their real world husband-and-wife dynamic.

Koh, what do you and Rinko do together?

Koh: OK, this is pretty embarrassing. The DS has a mic and a touchscreen, so... one time, she asked me to say "I love you" a hundred times into the mic. I was on the airplane when she asked me that, so I was like, no way. There was also this part where you have to hold her hand on the touchscreen. If you touch her hand with the stylus, you get to hold her hand. And then there's the part where you have to kiss her.

Did you do it?

Koh: No, no! The girl's face shows up on the screen, and you have to touch her lips to give her a kiss. That's pretty weird.... this is embarrassing. I'm sweating right now just talking about it.

Yurie: Ew. Do people really do that?

Koh: I guess some people do.

What do you think, Yurie?

Yurie: Until now, I wasn't aware of the specifics of the game. Hearing it now, I'm like, barf. That's just gross.

Koh: I know. It's pretty gross. I really wouldn't want my wife to see me playing this, me desperately trying to hold hands with a touchscreen.

Yurie: It sounds like you can really experience the realness of dating.

Koh: Yeah.. the girl also talks a lot. You hear her voice at every part of the game. A lot of dating sims are mostly text, but this one has a real humanistic side to it. I think this comes down to the fact that men are simple. This is obviously a computer program, but this makes us really feel like there's a girl inside the DS. It feels dangerous, like I might get sucked into this world. Some guys on the Internet are saying that their Love Plus relationships feel more real. They feel like they're with their girlfriend every day. I kinda get it.

But Koh, you have a real woman in your life.

Koh: That's why I was able to come back. Thank god! I was only stuck in that world for about a week. Also, I got hooked when I was in Japan on a business trip, so when I came back to San Francisco, I didn't play it that much. Maybe just for a day. In the bathtub.

Yurie: I didn't really see him playing it.

Koh: It's pretty damn embarrassing. I think if I wasn't able to come back from that world, I would have run out of things to talk about with my real wife. I can understand why some couples would get in a fight over that.

Yurie, does this bother you at all?

Yurie: Not at all. If he's just enjoying it as a game, that's fine with me. I don't care that he has a girlfriend inside of the game at all. I'm just like, oh okay. So that's what you're into right now. If we were to get into a fight over this, it would be less about the content of the game and more about how much time he spends playing it. It doesn't matter what he's doing, but if he spends too much time on the computer, then that's not good.

Koh: Yeah, if I was playing too many games and that was compromising the time I spent in my real life, that would be a problem. It's the same with Second Life or World of Warcraft. If I got too into something and couldn't come back, that would be a problem. At the same time, though, the danger I felt when I almost got sucked into Love Plus was very human. If I was single and had gotten too into this... I don't know, I recognized that there was a me in there that could have a real attachment to this artificial character on the other side of the DS screen. It made me think that humans could probably pretty easily develop feelings for AI robots. It's the same with animals, right? Animals don't speak words but you can really love them. But I do think it has something to do with the simplicity of men. I'd be really curious to see how women would react to a boy version of Love Plus.

Yurie: If there was a boy version, I think most women would be able to clearly distinguish between real life and in-game life. I have celebrities I like, too, but then I also have a husband. And they're totally separate.

So what is your Love Plus girlfriend doing now?

Koh: I'm too scared to find out. I'm probably going to get in big trouble if I open it after leaving her alone for several weeks. Maybe she's dead now. That would be scary.

Yurie: Does that happen?

Koh: I don't think so . But remember Tamagochi? They used to die if you didn't feed them.

Yurie: Oh yeah. That would be kind of bittersweet.

Update: Koh is informing me that, since our interview a week ago, Yurie has now become addicted to a mini game in Ryu ga Gotoku 3 that entails training a cabaret girl to become the #1 earner at the club. "I've never seen her enjoy a game like that before," he says. "The graphics are realistic, and she gets to choose the girl's makeup, etc. Now I'm thinking that maybe women get more hooked on games that involve nurturing or becoming someone."

“Food was my friend, my blanket, my comfort, my lover – my drug,” said Kimberly Anne Evans. “I replaced my need for love with [meals] ... I walked around in a food coma for 39 years.”

The 42-year-old member of the Joy Fit Club, who once weighed 347 pounds, relied on fatty foods to satisfy all her emotional needs. From early childhood, Kimberly viewed food as something she could always count on to comfort her in times of distress. “In school, I was called many names, had things thrown at me, and had kids whisper and laugh behind my back,” she recalled.

Kimberly spent the next three decades gaining an abnormal amount of weight, subsisting on a diet of large portions: two McDonald’s breakfast burritos with hash browns in the morning; two cheeseburgers with fries and shakes for lunch; and a pizza with four scoops of ice cream for dinner. Overall, it came to roughly 9,000 calories and 150 to 200 grams of fat per day. “Little did I realize it was slowly killing me,” she said.

Kimberly felt like a prisoner of her size. Her life was entirely controlled by its limitations: She couldn’t walk long distances, fit into airplane or restaurant seats, or even apply for a job without feeling like her weight stood in the way. “I worked extremely hard to prove that, despite my outward appearance, I was highly competent, hard-working,” she recalled. “‘Normal’-size people have no idea what they take for granted.”

Kimberly thought she would outgrow her obesity, but as she approached 40, she began to believe she might always be fat and that her goals, including having a relationship, would remain forever unfulfilled. She was 39 years old and had still never been kissed. “I stopped thinking about my soul mate, and when I would see [romantic movies], my heart would ache. I would cry, reminded of how truly lonely I really was.”

Although Kimberly was unhappy with her lifestyle, it took years until she finally felt motivated to make a change. It all came down to one moment with a DVD – and Gerard Butler.

She had just turned 39 when a friend loaned her a copy of the movie musical “Phantom of the Opera,” whose title character, like her, was an outcast yearning for love. It had a huge impact. “Gerard Butler’s portrayal of the Phantom changed my life,” Kimberly said. “His talent woke me up from my food coma. From that moment on, my soul was alive.”

Kimberly completed changed her eating habits, switching from pizza to Subway sandwiches for lunch, ditching fast food meals for baked chicken or tilapia, and recruiting family and friends to locate nonfat ice cream that tasted “just like the real thing.” She began tracking all her calories and looking for nutritional information on restaurant menus and supermarket food labels. “The problem is, so many dishes appear healthy by their title, description, or look – but they aren’t,” she explained.

That doesn’t mean Kimberly doesn’t allow herself a well-earned reward now or then. “When I do indulge on the holidays, I appreciate the taste of the food so much more – it is such a treat.”

As for exercise, Kimberly took baby steps, starting with walking every day. She then graduated to a stationary bike, slowly increasing the intensity and time over several weeks. After a while, she added in weight-lifting and general floor exercises, and committed to working out seven days a week.

The transition wasn’t easy; it was often hard to find the energy to exercise in the morning. But Kimberly soon learned that “once you start, you feel the energy come to you.”

In just under 21 months Kimberly was able to shed 211 pounds, and she now weighs in at 136 pounds. She finally feels confident about her appearance, and has found a new zest for life. “I literally run up and down the stairs now. I am never out of breath and look for opportunities to hit the stairs more for exercise � it is unbelievable!”

Physically, she’s now able to enjoy simple everyday activities that once thwarted her, like crossing her legs or sitting in an airplane seat comfortably. In fact, Kimberly just recently met a man, who finally gave her what she fantasized about for three decades: a kiss. “He told me he wished he’d known because he would’ve made it even more special,” Kimberly said. “He’s very sweet and we’ve been getting along very well.” As for her future, Kimberly looks forward to many more exciting “firsts”:

“I want to live for the first time and experience everything – I want to travel, have fun and [go on an] adventure. I lost so many years to my ‘fat suit’... I have a lot left to do.”

Andy Warhol

Andy Warhol is one of my favorite artists. Pop art is my favorite style of art and he is the main influence in it. He was an American painter, printmaker, and filmmaker who was a leading figure in the visual art movement known as pop art. Pop art was an experimental form that several artists were independently adopting; some of these pioneers, such as Roy Lichtenstein, would later become synonymous with the movement. Warhol, who would become famous as the "Pope of Pop", turned to this new style, where popular subjects could be part of the artist's palette. His early paintings show images taken from cartoons and advertisements, hand-painted with paint drips. Those drips emulated the style of successful abstract expressionists (such as Robert Rauschenberg). Eventually, Warhol pared his image vocabulary down to the icon itself – to brand names, celebrities, dollar signs – and removed all traces of the artist's "hand" in the production of his paintings.

A Week (almost) in My Working Life

I've been doing my new job for about a week now. I kinda like the environment. Like I said, I finally got my own space, my own chair, my own desk, a calender and plenty of parking spaces. I can even off on weekends now! The people there are helpful and professional. Best of all I don't have to work like a lowly-paid slave anymore to do crappy works like carrying heavy things back and forth which contributed to the recurrence of my back pain and wrist injury. Not to say the current job is perfect, but at least it's a lot better than the previous one.

a) Spent my tea break observing the Koi fishes at the pond. I gave names for each of the fishes. There's Big White, Side Surf, Giganthor, Chrystal, Litchi, Jumble, Raven, Corona, Jack, Flat Floor, Orange Peel...

b) Each fish has its own traits just like homo sapiens. I wonder what are they thinking?

c) Ah Oh, I've got an idea. Why don't somebody go and invent a keychain or something that would let out a sound of baby cry when ya drop it or separated within a distance of 2 meters. Like that, my wallet or handphone wouldn't get lost again.

d) It's becoming 'tee-di-us'.

**Update: Just came back from AhBu's Massage Therapy for my ailing back and wrist. The pain was hellish. At one point I screamed 'F***' and the whole world heard me. The experience was like being canned, penetrated by thousands of needles and having your flesh stripped off from your bones. This went on for like an hour! But it's all good, I feel good now. Finally I don't really feel like an old man anymore hehe.

This morning I had difficulty waking up because of my back pain. Damn pain. It's an old injury. I exaggerated it from last night after-midnight basketball activity. It's an injury everybody is scared of. If I did not get it treated, I may have to carry it to my grave! do.Ob

Anybody who has any joint pains, sprained limbs or what, you should look for this guy. This guy is amazing. He'll make you feel the pain of hell at first but alas your injuries would be cured almost instantly. Definitely ichiban! But he talks cock a lot, funny dude lol.

Regular customers may get 50% discount like me. That did not sound right right? That means I get injured quite frequently huh. Good for his business but not good for me health sad face. I should really take care of myself now.

It's been a long time since I heard any nice Malay/Indon songs until I happened to heard these two singers, Agnes Monica and Yuna aka Yunalis Zarai. I only listened to a couple of their songs which are nice and meaningful, Cinta Di Ujung Jalan and Dan Sebenarnya.

Agnes Monica is an Indonesian Pop singer, dancer, actress, songwriter and producer. She is very successful as it brought her not only fame in her country but other countries as well such as Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, Philippines, Netherlands, Taiwan, Korea and China (SWEET!).

Yuna on the other hand is a Malaysian Indie rock singer. She brought in something fresh and new into the music scene of Malaysia. Every now and then I think everyone should probably experience a streak of bad lucks for a certain of period.

From last Wednesday until now, I've been feeling unlucky. Most of the problems are because of that I had to deal with some work-related tasks like opening a saving account and medical check-up. Those two sounds pretty simple right? So simple like in one day, anyone could have settle it already. The shitty thing was that I had to go a long way to settle those.

One day before I start my new job, I found out that the company does not accept the current saving account that I had previously created for my last job pay transaction. Which means I need to open a new saving account with another bank that they can accept.

That day I planned to settle everything so that I can start work without distractions. I went to this bank, let the clerk know that I want to create an account and presented her my IC. Unfortunately my IC could not be scanned as the embedded chip was damaged. So the clerk directed me to JPN to exchange a new one and get some kind of a clarification letter from them. Fine, so I went to JPN.

At JPN I got my picture taken and thumbs scanned for creating the new IC but I was told that I needed to wait for at least a month before I can get it! So I requested for some kind of official document so that I can show it to the bank. Well, the only thing I could get was a receipt aka 'temporary IC' and they would have to take back the old IC to destroy it. So it's either the receipt or the old IC. Because the bank wouldn't accept the damaged MyKad so I chose the receipt.

Me with the pissed-off look. Messy hair and rugged clothing. No choice, had to take the picture in a rush.

Drove back to the bank, met the same clerk again. Anyway, the conversation went like this:

Chai: Hi, I already went to JPN and replaced the damaged on for a new MyKad but they said I need to wait for another month before I can get it. So, they gave me this (the temporary IC) in exchange for the damaged MyKad. That's all I can get. Is this okay?

Clerk: *look of confusion like she just saw something she never saw before* Erm...I don't think this is acceptable. Do you have driving license?

Chai: Yeah I do. Here you go. (At this point I thought - WHAT?! I just did what you told me to do wtheck)

Clerk: Okay, you hold on for a moment (went into the office).

A few minutes later, she came back.

Clerk: I'm sorry. We actually need your old IC (which is the damaged one).

Chai: (WTF?!?! You just asked me to go change a new one damn you!) Er, is it. The thing is that I had to choose either the receipt or to keep the old IC but since you asked me to change a new one so I took the receipt first.

Clerk: Then do you have a photocopy of your old IC?

Chai: (Double WTFF?!?! DAMN YOU. Should have let me know earlier. Luckily I got one backup photocopy of my IC before if not I would have to drive back to JPN AGAIN to request back my old IC) Huh? Yeah, I got one copy. It's in my car. Let me go get it.

Clerk: Nevermind. It's okay. Besides that, we also need your company to issue us a letter stating that you are a confirmed staff of theirs and to show that your IC is damaged. Then just write MAYBANK on the letter (I don't know what this means but now you know which bank with such incompetence).

Chai: (What the...?!) Oh I see. Ok then, I'll go get it from my company and then I'll come by again.

At this point, I really feel damn kao pissed off. I called the company's HR and told them about it. So I had no choice but to settle it at another day together with the medical check-up. The medical check-up I couldn't do it on that day because I also needed to get a medical chit from the company.

Next day Thursday was my first day at work. I didn't go settle those stuff as I spent the whole day at the office. I was given a tour of the company and introduced to some people. Other than that, they gave me a bunch of hardcore reading materials to read. I've never felt that hardworking reading before until then. Thank goodness my boss allowed me to do the things I need to do in the morning next day which is Friday.

The next morning, I went back to the bank earlier than its opening time. That day, I experienced something I have never experience before. I was the very first customer to walk ed through the main entrance once business started. Yeah, it was nothing really lol. Anyway, I sat down and presented the relevant documents to the clerk. This time it's a different clerk.

Chai: Hi, good morning. The day before yesterday I came by to create a saving account but my MyKad was damaged. So these are what the bank asked me to prepare. Is this alright???

Clerk no.2: *another look of confusion like she just saw something she never saw before* Er actually we need your actual IC then you can make a saving account. These I don't think can.

Chai: (WTF MAN!!!) What?! Bla bla bla bla (I had to repeat the same thing again from Thursday). I just started a new job with this company and I really need to open a saving account as soon as possible. You try ask your chief or whoever is in charge.

Clerk no.2: Okay you hold on. (Went into the office. After a while, came back). Okay, actually this one we cannot do it for you here. Since your company is directly dealing with our other branch which is the Miri branch then it is better if you go there and open your saving account. My officer already referred you to the Miri branch.

Chai: (d-_-b Okay WTF again. In the beginning you should have told me la tiu. Like I was a problem that you tried to push it to your another branch). Okay okay. I'll go there now. Thanks Bye Ma Hai. (I did not say the last two words. I wanted to though.)

I showed the officer at the Maybank Miri branch my documents. This officer was a lot nicer, professional, polite and totally way better looking than those clerks at the Pelita Commercial branch (now you know specifically where).

Chai: Hi good morning, I just went to the Pelita branch but they referred me to come here. Bla bla bla bla bla (From here I repeated the same story again).

Nice Officer: *Looking at the documents while listening to me* Huh?? Why did you have to go through all the troubles to prepare these? No, actually you do not have to do all that.

Chai: (Naniyo?!) But this was what they told me to do...

Nice Officer: Well, all I need is your previous MyKad then I could create a saving account for you first. Wait until you got your new MyKad then you can come back here and show it to me. I don't need your driving license all that. It's that simple. Using this temporary IC is not that good.

Chai: Haaaaarrrrrr~ Aiyo. Why like that ar? Why they do not know? Why is it different here? (I don't understand why. Different branches but under the same bank, why do things so differently??)

Nice Officer: It's alright. So I'll just make a saving account for you ya? You just bring to me your new IC next time once you got it.

Chai: Okay, thank you very very much! (FUCK YOU VERY VERY MUCH PELITA COMMERCIAL MAYBANK! mlm)

Another thing is that, for the pelita commercial maybank branch, you need to deposit at least RM250 + RM8 in order to create a saving account. As for the Miri Maybank branch, you can deposit any amount as long as they can deduct RM8 as service charge from your account. Man, I really felt so damn pissed off at the pelita commercial branch that I felt like setting up a nuclear explosion to destroy the building but I am not going to as I got a good friend who is working there.

Finally I got my saving account plus ATM card done and I got one last thing to do. Medical check-up! I went to the clinic and eek! to my horror, there're so many customers there. Major bummer. I had to go back to work in the afternoon and it was already 11am. Anyway, I asked the nurse whether I can do it immediately under the priority of the company's name without having to queue. However, coincidently those customers were from the same company as me and they were there for medical check-up also. Ha Ha Ha Ha. Looked like it's not going to be my turn until late in the afternoon so the nurse said it better for me to come back saturday morning again. Sad face.

At the office, I reported what happened to my boss and requested a little bit time (again) to come later to work on Saturday morning because of the medical check-up. Luckily she's understanding about my situation. Yes! I thought finally I can settle all those and start to concentrate on my work. But...the worst has yet to happen.

On that Friday night, when I was about to go out for limteh, I couldn't find my wallet anywhere. I searched my car, my room and other areas of the house including outside but nothing. I thought maybe I left it in the office or the worst case possible is that I dropped it at the parking area. Damn it!

In the next morning, I went for the medical check-up and luckily it went smoothly except that the doctor said I'm overweight (lol). By this time I'm still hanging on the hope that I left my wallet in the office. At the office, I searched around at my table and inquired the security for any lost and found wallet but none. Fuck me! One problem resolved then another big ass problem arises??? What the hell is wrong?!?!

Reluctantly, I told my boss that I might have lost my wallet. My two ATM cards and driving license are inside (Luckily I kept my temporary IC somewhere secure). This means that I would have to take some time off (again!) to settle these problems rite? Banks and JPJ are closed for the weekend so I had to do it on weekdays dang. To do the police report, make new driving license and two new fucking ATM cards!!!! I just got the Maybank ATM card for less than ONE DAY lei.

My biggest concern is that how would my colleagues think of me. I just started working and I have already been taking so many time offs, so many problems? That I couldn't even handle simple things like opening a saving account and doing medical check-up? I hope they don't think of me as a cheat or what. All these problems had been very unexpected.

My available cash money together with my ATM cards lost together with the wallet. Now I am pennyless. My driving license had gone missing too. I'm driving without a license. What if I am stopped by the traffic police and I have no money to "chia" them for "lim teh"?

Who to blame? My own carelessness or I am just one very unlucky dude. FML goodness indeed.

Eating Expired Chocolates

About 8 months ago, I received 1 chocolate as a gift and then another 3 chocolates which I asked my friend to help me buy from Labuan. The sad thing is that I got the chocolate gift on the day when I broke my two teeth due to a sport related accident (A 'WTF' day indeed, that is one fxcking sad day I tell you. FML!). Besides that, the other 3 chocolates which I ordered were supposed to be as preparation gifts for someone but due to some issues, it's not gonna happen (WTF again).

I've never got these much chocolates before.

Those four chocolates were kinda precious to me that if it has no expiry date, I wouldn't eat it. It doesn't matter what, in the end I still gotta eat it or give them to somebody else rite? 2 of the chocolates I decided to eat for myself and the other 2 I planned to give to friends. The latter didn't happen because I didn't know who (or forgotten) to give to haha =P

So as time went by, I realized that it's going to be a waste if I don't eat it because they're going to expire anyhow. So I was suppose to eat it when I'm free but I kept on delaying and delaying until I forgot about the expiry date. (Note that I did not put the chocs in the fridge because I was afraid that other people would eat them. I gotta hide it somewhere safe like my 'treasure box' lol). I had no time before this as I was busy with work and social life therefore the delay. Besides that, I also kinda bu she de eat it. I needed a time when I'm alone and ready to eat it.

Finally one day when I was free and had time for myself, I checked the chocolates and to my horror, 2 of the chocolates had already expired like months ago (Expiry dates: The Warner Hudson Liqueur - 09/03/2009 & Toblerone Dark Chocolate - 06/06/2009). The other 2, Jack Daniel and Hamlet chocs had only one or two days left until the expiry dates.

Walao eh! Bo Si Kang Liao. So that day I decided to finish up the Jack Daniel Chocolate first after freezing it in the fridge. That one tasted weird (as in the liqueur inside had frozen when normally liqueur inside the chocolate suppose to be in liquid form I think) but sweet at the same time. I guess that's what you get when you do not put the choc in the fridge in order to preserve it for a long time especially one that is near its expiry date.

Next is the Hamlet chocolate. Now this one is most precious to me but already one day passed its expiry date. When I open the decorative box (after freezing it in the fridge), the chocolates looked terribly deformed. Must be because the chocs were melting before I freeze it up I thought. Besides that, some of the chocolates also had some kind of bubbly spots (or maybe hairy/bushy) on its surfaces. Nevermind that, I was still determined to consume it all.

I'm sorry, this one was suppose to taste good. Unfortunately...

I took one of the several different kinds of the Hamlet chocolates and took one bite. As it melted in my mouth, it felt nothing like other chocolates that I had ever tasted before. Tasty and weird/horrible at the same time. I dunno maybe it's more tasty then weird LOL. It's all about the mind I told myself. The chocolate tasted powdery for most part, some part it's normal where it melts properly on your tongue and then there were these weird bits 'I don't know what is it'. After the first one, I thought, well I can live with it, it's not that bad anyway.

The second day after its expiry date and halfway through, I was beginning to feel weird as in REALLY weird. I realized that chocolates were not supposed to taste like this. Then I thought about expired bread. Do you know what happens to expired bread? Well, mold spores would start breeding and grow on its surfaces. By that time it hit me, HARD.

OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG!!! Holy *toot*! What have you been eating Chai!?!?!?!

I did not know that mold spores could grow on chocolates. Now I know...and tasted it.

I quickly puked away that one chocolate in my mouth into the rubbish bin then went to check on the other remaining chocolates. As I looked closer, dang!!! I had been eating LIVE mold spores together with chocolates. The horrible thing was that I had already eaten half of the 10 chocolates. Thinking back, I even ate the one with the biggest mold spread. No wonder it tasted powdery plus together with the bits. Bluek~ Bluek~ BLUEK~~PLUEK!!! GARGH~ WTFFF!!!!

Hey all, I’m back after almost 3 months of hiatus!

Phew~ Man, it has been THAT long. THAT was how long I have not blog about anything, how long my computer crashed at the workshop (even the owners considered charging me for the rental fee) and how long that I had been missing the cyber life (youtube-ing, chatting, checking out Gutter, downloading movies and songs, social networking, photoshopping, illustrating and etc.).

Within that period of time, a lot has happened in my life too. However for this entry, it’s going to be about something that is of recent.

Here’s an update about myself. I had resigned from my first full time job. The last day of my notice of resignation was yesterday. Now I am jobless (at least for the moment). Good thing is that I am going to join a new company soon! Looking forward to it!

Right now I am just taking a break and chill. I need some time to heal my mind, my stamina, my back pain and my injured wrist while at the same time planning to do some catching ups with my life. I feel very free and happy right now not having to feel binded by any job. Finally I can get some rest during the weekend haha!

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the people at Boulevard Hypermarket Department. Regardless to how I had been treated bad or good, I still appreciate you. Because you are the big reason of where and who I am now.

Other than that I think you enjoyed yourself unleashing your anger towards me through strangling and stepping on my feet LOLOLOL.

I remember well on the very first day of work, my objective is to become the best Management Trainee (MT) that the Marketing department has ever had if not the whole Boulevard Hypermarket. I told this to my Head of Department, Vivian right? I think I did pretty well at work (so far no problem) but actually I am more proud that I brought fun and laughter to the people at the company, especially those who are close with me. I hope I did leave something important and memorable behind in your hearts. In the end, I found it difficult to leave ya’ all behind but I had to do it.

Michael Jackson RIP

The news about Michael Jackson death came as quite a shock to me. I was at work when my executive first told me about it. I could not believe it and I thought it was just some kind of hoax rumors being spread around. It spread like wildfire. My heart kinda sunk at this point.

Once I reached home, I turned on my computer and went online to check out the news. Sadly it turned out real. Michael Jackson, the great one is no longer in this world. This made me realized that I never felt that heartbroken for any celebrities before. I think it is no wonder as I used to idolize Michael Jackson when I was a kid. Not only me, my brothers and some of my cousins too. We grew up listening and singing to his music, and imitating his dance moves especially the moonwalk.

Michael Jackson's impacts is evident throughout the world especially since his passing. Whenever you turn on the TV, you see him, wherever you go, you will hear his music being played these days like from the radio and in the club and whatever you do like drinking cincau si peng or soya bean mix with cincau, it will remind you of 'Black & White'. It feels like, "you'll only realize something is precious to you when it is gone".

People around the world are missing him damn a lot including me. Man, I was looking forward to his concert in London. It was suppose to go that way at least to end his illustrious and legendary music career if not for a great comeback. Unfortunately, he is gone too soon.

You know, a lot of times the media had been unmerciful to him. His personal life had always been a target. Through the media, you always do not know what to believe in. Never mind his personal life. Believe in Michael, believe in what he had accomplished and created for us in this world. The ground-breaking songs, the greatest dance moves, most generous humanitarian acts, the glove, the socks, the armband, the shoes, the jackets and some more. His legacy will forever be remembered.

Umi and Keiko were a couple. Both of them were members of the band called the Dancing Chickens. The band was well known for their backup dancers wearing chicken suits doing the chicken dance other than their singing prowess during live performances. Umi who was the lead singer plays the guitar while Keiko plays the cello and backup singer. Umi likes to wear leather pants while Keiko prefers the gothic and emo style kind of wear.

Outside of their singing career, they like to tool around with the vintage camera and take pictures of each other at home. Sometimes they would also wear pyjamas and do pillow fighting when chilling at home. They love being silly with one another.

Just like any other normal couples, they would also have a date night on the set Friday night each week. Usually after dinner, Umi and Keiko would hang around and enjoy each other company in the same park which they often visit. That park has an important meaning to them as it was the place where they first met while performing live as street solo singing amateurs.

On a particular Friday night, while making out in the park, Keiko said, "I just wish that we could remain like this forever". Keiko then excused herself that she needed to go to the loo as she felt something was wrong with her head. Suddenly, she collapsed to the ground. Keiko was then rushed to the hospital right away with Umi accompanying by her side.

With Keiko laying unconcious on the hospital bed, Umi waited anxiously for the dianogsis result to come out. A few moments later, the doctor who was in charge came into the room with an upset look on his face. Umi received the worst possible news that he never expected. Keiko was dying from a terminal disease that she was suffering for a long time and she had little time left. Umi was devastated and his feeling was mixed with some anger as Keiko kept this as a secret from him. Above all, he felt like the saddest man on Earth.

Keiko remained in a coma state until the day she died. Umi sat in the ward room which Keiko stayed in and wonder. Looking around, he saw all the things including flowers and pictures that he brought for her everytime he visited. All those reminded him of all the precious moments that they spent together. Umi felt lost and downright gloomy. He stared at the unoccupied bed and couldn't believe that she's not there anymore.

Suddenly, Umi felt a strong presence. He believed that it was Keiko's. Excited, he stood up and trailed the presence to one area in the room where he felt was strongest. Then it turned to something sinister. A figure appeared and he's face to face with the Death Reaper! The Death Reaper went "WAHAHAHAHA!!!" and he shouted in horror "AAAAAAHHHHHH!!!". He fainted.

Once awoke, Umi realised that it was just a bad dream. "Sigh~", he thought. By channeling all the feelings and emotions, he dedicated the song "U+K" to his memory of Keiko.

My Not So Interesting Life as of 21/06/09

Working life is really draining a lot of my energy away. I got less time to play basketball and go to the gym as regularly as last time. Other than that, it took away a significant amount of my focus away from my other self-interest's venture that I'm getting into. Luckily I still have the time to hang out with friends. My friends are my best source of fun and with them around, I get the strength to pass through tough times.

You know, quite often at work, some of my colleagues would call my name just to see my blurry expression on my face. Like this ---> d-_-b. And then some would just laugh for no reason looking at my blurry face. Why? Is my face that funny? Dudes and Dudesses, I can't help it. My face is always like that and it will always be the same no matter what. Nvmla, as long as you all are happy =)

Sometimes the day would get so tiring and mind-numbing that I just wanna pause everything, be somewhere peaceful alone, and chill for a bit. I need a cold beer, some nice foods, listen to some relaxing music, and maybe a smoke (optional) nya~. In my youth life, I wanna work hard and play hard...living the dream life that I always dream of. I just hope that I have enough endurance lol. Sadly, time is limited. Time is not enough. Therefore I'm just gonna get as much as possible from it.

Wang Gek was playing around with the Rubik's cube a couple of months ago that I was motivated to do so too. I bought myself a small Rubik's cube key ring instead of a standard one. Why? Because I think it looks more cute =P

I actually wanted to start playing it once I get it, just that I was not willing to rip off the package in order to get my hands on it. I'm getting this otaku collector's kind of behavior you know ever since watching Japanorama. For them the highest value of an item is at its original state with the cover package still left unopened. In some cases the packages itself are more valuable than the items inside. So I'm keeping it that way for now until I get another one gargh~ It has been in display for more than a month already haha.

Today is 21/06/09, later in the morning I’m gonna have to do a bit of OT at work on my OFF DAY to settle the June Birthday Draw event. The place is going to go crazy. There will be over 500 people on the 3^rd Level! Walao eh.

Seriously, I hate this dog statue. It doesn’t know how to bark. No way can it play fetch. Worst of all it doesn’t even have real furs for me to pat. All the dog knows is to just stand there, takes up the space of the living room and waiting to be cleaned off of the dust everyday.

If one is bad enough, how about another one?

I have no idea what was so appealing about this dog statue that my dad made the decision to buy it. It shouldn’t be because of the puppy eyes right? Impulsive buying I guess.

Or just to use it to scare off the thefts in case they break into the house (I hope not, it’s useless).

I’m selling them (without the consent from the Dad and Mom but who cares!). This dog statue will go to the highest bidder. Quick! Bid now! Price starting at 50 bucks. They are men's best friend for cheap price and low on the maintenance. Gargh~ my life is so sad lol.

I had a pet dog but she ran away from home more than two months ago. I still see her around the neighborhood but she doesn’t seem to recognize me anymore. Oh well at least she got her freedom.

Big Friends Gathering

It's been a long time since we had such a big gathering though a lot more people didn't manage to come. We were all schoolmates and good thing is that we don't really lose contact though we're not gonna be able to see each other so soon again since most people would start working. Kinda sad but it's okay cause' I know one day there will be another bigger and better gathering.

It was the night where I ate two plates of fried kuey tiaw, one salad fish rice and a serving of salad tofu at Pong's Cafe. I wish that I had a stomach as big as the universe but no. Please do finish your foods especially when you are eating in front of me in order to take care of my diet. Just kidding lol. Aiseh man. Failed DIET PLAN NO. 302.

My Interest for Extreme Movies

One of the things that most of you (my friends) don't know is that, I am actually into extreme Asian movies especially by the Japanese. Extreme as in most of the movies are banned from most parts of the world cause' it's too much for some people's taste and the threshold of their stomachs. Usually this kind of movie involves a lot of blood, mutilation, seckx, touches on issues that are taboo, full of suspense, artistic, weird, confusing, plenty of chills and full of shockness.

Why you ask me? I guess you can say every people interpret art in different ways. But that's just one of the reasons. I wanna see what are the results when the directors and producers have no boundaries when it comes to making movies. See what they can come out with. What would happen when you let your thoughts roam free and wild? Some of them are brilliant while some just plain sucks. One thing for sure, majority of them are very controversial for touching into very very sensitive issues testing the limits. You can simply describe them as beautifully sick.

I’ll give you a bad example about how sick some of the movies are. I haven’t watched this myself as people had reviewed the movie with low ratings. There’s one scene in the movie Naked Blood, a victim of a wrongfully conducted experiment poked out one of her own eyeballs with the fork, dipped it in some flour and then fried it. Wala! Bon Apetiti! Tempura eyeball is served. She ate it and it was truly orgasmic for her lol. (I found this movie clip from Youtube before so maybe you can try your luck if you want =P). Actually there are movies much worse than this like the Guinea Pig series, which are arguably the most gruesome films to ever come out from the country of the rising sun. It is said that these series are hard to find as they a rarity due to being banned in many countries.

I don't reveal this side of me much because I know that people gonna think I am sick and unusual for being that interested in gory, violence, snuffy and horror stuff. I remember clearly one time I showed my friends this movie called Ichi the Killer. Not even past 10 minutes, one friend couldn't stand it, got out from the room, another hide under the pillow, then another went, 'Ughh~ OMG, Chai you are sick!' and some suggested "jokingly" not to get near me ever again LOL.

I am no sadistic, but sometimes I do get a lil' bit pleasure from other people's pain....er as in when I see a friend falling down from the bicycle, crotch got hit or getting slap from a girl I would LMAO. But hey, I not that bad okay, that's just being playfully mischievous. I am not a Super 'S' like Hama-chan lol.

I am not alone however as there are a lot of fans for this genre. ONLY hardcore fans. I admit that before getting into this kind of movies, I was very scared of watching horror movies (for a guy! if you wanna add). Like when I was a kid, after watching The Exorcist, I had trouble sleeping the next few days. But now, I have overcome this part of fear pretty much. They are nothing compared to the extreme ones I had watched. So it's some kind of a training for me haha.

Memorable Asian Extreme movies watched so far are: Battle Royale, Ichi the Killer, Oldboy, The Bow, Ju-on, The Ring, A Snake of June, Strange Circus, Sympathy for Mr Vengence, A Tale of Two Sisters, Zatoichi, Three Extremes, Casshern, One Missed Call, Wild Zero, Visitor Q, Infection, Dark Water and others which I forgot the name titles. I'm so sad that most stuff in Crunchyroll have been restricted.

The Cello

Oh man, I got totally hooked up with classical music these days. Particularly with the instrument cello. At first impression, sorry to say, I was not able to feel or realize the true beauty of the instrument. From the appearance, it looks too big and bulky for my preference. Then for the sound, I don't know how to describe it but it was just not my kind of taste.

I think I suddenly got this kind of mood when searching for the meanings of glamor and elegance, I found that both the two words have a deep correlation with anything that is classic for example, the Victorian style (at least that is what I think). I am becoming a fan of that style. Then one way and another it leads to classical music for reason I don't know lol. I guess I was looking for some inspirations for my work.

Besides that, one day I was found updates on Robert Downey Jr in Yahoo! about his recent movie venture. He and Jamie Foxx acted in a movie called The Soloist. I've watched the trailers of the movie and reviews from the public. This movie looks good with the storyline aside from the performance of the two main actors. I can't wait to watch it! It's a beautiful and touching movie about the life of Nathaniel Ayers, a music prodigee who is schizophrenic and lives in the street playing the violin and cello. It's also about an unlikely and a moving friendship about the two people who had enriched each others life tremendously. From this movie, my interest towards the cello is starting to build up.

Then when I think back, I remember about one of my favorite artistic horror movies, Strange Circus where the cello is one of the important elements in it. Man I tell you it's creepy and mysterious. It's almost like there's something alive about the cello case. Boy, it was one heck of a surprise at the end of the movie. I know you don't know what am I talking about lol. Ehemm anyway...

I am most impressed when I heard this dude, Mstislav Rostropovich plays the cello. Many including some of his peers had said he's the best cellist of the 20th century. No joke, listening to 'Prelude from Bach's Cello Suite No. 1' played by him sent chills up my spine unlike other cellists. The way he plays the cello is truely beautiful and you can totally feel the kind of message and emotion he expresses through the song.

These days I started listening back to Malice Mizer, a Japanese band which I have a lot of love for. They one of the best visual kei band that ever lived other than X Japan and L'arc-en-Ciel. Everything about them is unique, their clothes, style of music and the way they carry themselves in the music scenes. The band's music and themes were characterized by their strong French and classical influences, later moving away from deliberate French romanticism and incorporating Gothic-Victorian aspects. You guys would probably think I'm weird for favoring this band, but I don't care as I am one of their many fans and the Visual Ks.

Lol, actually Malice Mizer has nothing to do with cello, I just want you to know about one of my favorite Japanese bands. However, Mana who is one of the co-founder of that band is producing solo vocalist and cellist Kanon Wakeshima. Kanon really look like a doll in a haunting (with her gothic-victorian style) and adorable way. She's very talented and kawaii~!. The first I have ever seen anyone who sings while performing with a cello. She's cool.

Doodle on the Dinding

I've been sleeping in the same room for the past. My bedroom. It is dull and messy but it has two of things that are most important to me at home which are the bed and the computer. Yeah, you can say those two are all I need haha. However I think it's time for a makeover especially the walls. I'm thinking of repainting it but I guess I'll leave it for some other time after planning.

I don't really like sleeping with an empty head. Usually I would lay on the bed and read comic books before I doze off. But sometimes you get so tired that you don't have the mood to read anything so your head becomes empty and soon you'll start thinking about stuffs that you don't wanna think about lol.

So, I thought about doing graffiti of my favorite characters and brands on the walls which will include Gloomy, Devilrobots, Tofu, Touma, Bape, Astroboy, Murakami, Tokidoki, Pete Fowler and others. Them are all inspiration to me to embrace my creative side. This will act as reminder to myself to fight for my real life dreams.

The first day I started of full of motivation. I expected my mom to nag about it and damn I was right about. My mom is the master of our home. She likes everything clean. Once she saw the sketches on one side of my wall, I got one heck of a scolding. Not to mention, that was kinda discouraging to me. Luckily as time goes by, she seems to be cool about it and don't really mind much. But that is always the case with her I know lol.

Yes I know what you are thinking. You must be wondering why there's so little progress after day one. Well that's because I kinda slack off and as mentioned just now my mom demotivated me lol. Anyway, I got my mood back so hopefully we'll see some more progress in the future.

Argh~ Where is my blogging mood? I don't know, maybe it has been lost ever since the time I got hangover from the night-out at Thai Bar. I wonder if the effect can last that long. Who knows, I've been acting crazy these days and my appetite reached the level where my stomach feels as big as the universe haha. You know, like I ate two plates of steaks and I still got room for more OMG. If not, then probably my mind is concentrating on something else which is a secret right now hehe. Anyway, I still got some things in the store which I haven't really got the time and mood to post up. We'll see.

Here's an interesting topic I found on Lifestyle MSN especially for guys. I would like to share this with you in case you miss it. This should open your eyes bigger and see things clearer. I know some of the guys including myself have been through the same if not the similiar kind of situation.

I even agreed to deliver a late-night hug anytime she can’t sleep, but I decline her invitations to sleep on her couch; she knows I will not take advantage of her. It’s hard, but I’ve adjusted to being lonely.

But now girl #1 is back in the picture, apologizing, and BOTH of them are giving me mixed signals. I’m excited, but also timid: I don’t want to be just a backup parachute for either of them, and now I’m the one hesitating to jump. Can you give me some perspective?

Dear Mr. Hug,
You are kind, giving, attentive, sensitive, respectful, and compassionate. These are wonderful qualities. Do not change.

But when it comes to both of these girls, you need to dry off your shoulder and turn your back. Both of those women have done nothing but convince you that this lopsided exchange — where you serve in the thankless role as nothing but an errant knight armed with tissues — is your fate. You’re spending your evenings listening to a girl moan about her horrible ex rather than mooning over you. You’re waiting for her to give you a cue instead of searching for real love. Of COURSE you’re lonely! You don’t need to "adjust" to it. Instead, ask yourself why you’ve chosen to play this role rather than taking care of your own needs.

Yep, Mr. Hug, it’s time for you to step back and investigate for yourself why, as you say, you’re drawn to this kind of tragic martyr-drama. Give it some thought, and take this to heart: It is NOT the only option available to you. Just because you’re good at it doesn’t mean you can’t do better.

Only after some careful introspection on your part — and plenty of healing time on hers — should you consider trying to make a go of it with girl #2. (Girl #1 is not relationship material.) But don’t put all your expectations on girl #2: Get yourself and your wonderful qualities out there looking for someone strong and stable who appreciates compassion because she’s human, not because she sucks it out of the atmosphere around her. And honestly, Mr. Hug, I can’t wait for you to see what it feels like when a gal says to you, "Here, let me kiss it better."

Pigs Are Innocent

300,000 pigs are being slaughtered in Egypt! The Egyption government decreed that all the pigs in the country had to be slaughtered as a precaution against the spread swine flu; despite the fact that no cases virus have been reported there and it is spread by people, not pigs.

The swine flu virus originated in pigs, and has genes from human, bird and pig viruses. Scientists don't know exactly how it jumped to humans. In the current outbreak, WHO says the virus is being spread from human to human, not from contact with infected pigs.

In an effort to save the pigs, WHO (The World Health Organization) decided to stop using the term "swine flu" to avoid confusion over the danger posted by pigs. Instead of that, the organization will stick with the technical scientific name H1N1 influenza A. The term "swine flu" was misleading consumers and needlessly causing countries to ban pork products and order the slaughter of pigs.

In case you are wondering how come there are pigs in Egypt being a Muslim country, the farmers actually raise the pigs for consumption by the country's Christian minority. Besides that, many of the families that raise pigs in Egypt are members of the country's Christian minority.

The farmers depended on the pigs as a source of income but now the government had to take it away from them. The farmers receive no compensation and they even had to pay for the costs of the slaughtering of their pigs.
